Infra structure
The College is housed in a multistoried building decorated by an elegant Garden and a Sun-beam park facing it. The main block holds the Principal's office, Computer Labs, Administrative Office and Science Labs. Attached to the main block, there is the annex, harbouring the spacious Library and the college auditorium on top of it. The Prayer Hall and the Conference Hall are situated in a separate building.
Library is a treasure house of knowledge, and a well-equipped, efficiently functioning library is imperative to each centre of learning. The college library having a space of 11,000 sq. ft., and has a collection of 41363 books, 84 periodicals and journals on all relevant subjects. Back Volumes of Periodicals and Journals are bounded and kept for reference. A Career Guidance Cell is also operated in the library to give the students information regarding career and job opportunities. Staff and students of neighbouring institutions also avail these facilities. The computerized information on library facilitates the use of library with regard to the availability of books, its issue and return. The library works from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm. A Photocopier system is installed for the use of the Faculty and Students. PG
Laboratories
Computer Labs
The College has two Computer Labs, with most modern facilities having 30 computers each. One lab is primarily meant for B.Sc. Computer Applications and M.Sc. Applied Statistics with Computer Applications Students The other one is a common lab mainly used by B.com, B.Sc. Maths, B.Sc. physics, M.Sc. Physics, M.Sc Chemistry, B.Sc. Botany students. The centre offers two diploma courses (PGDCA & DCA) in computer Applications in the morning and in the evening. The students and Staff can utilize the ISDN Internet and E-mail facilities available in the computer lab. Laser Printer, Inkjet Printers, Scanner, Dot Matrix Printers and other peripherals are connected to the network.
The Guidance and Counselling Centre, attached to the department Psychology, is useful for those who seek psychological intervention. It also provides ample opportunities for students in training themselves. Prayer Hall
Towards the holistic development of individuals, the college provides a serene and calm atmosphere to those who wish to spend some time in silence, reflection and prayer. The prayer hall is elegantly designed and wears a heavenly look to raise the mind and heart of a person. Holy Mass is conducted on every First Friday of the month and we have an active prayer group that meets on every Wednesday at noontime. Blood Donor's Forum The proximity of our College to the Kottayam Medical College Hospital has been a great relief to very many patients who are in need of human blood to save their lives. Realizing this need, the National Service Scheme of the College is operating a Blood Donor's Forum. The members of the forum are carrying on the work of the 'Good Samaritan' by donating blood. All the members of the Elian family can join this forum and express solidarity with the suffering humanity. Sports and games Sports and games help in the all round development of human personality. Hostels The College has two women's hostels and one Boys' Hostel.
Canteen The college canteen provides a healthy environment and makes sure that quality food is served at reasonable price. Staff co-operative society A co-operative staff society also is functioning in the college for the welfare of the staff of the college. All the permanent members of the teaching and non-teaching staff are eligible for membership in the society. The society provides facilities for deposit and loans of various kinds. Students Service Society Text books, note books, record books, stationery materials and toilet items are supplied to staff and students at discount rate from the store functioning inside the Campus. Students are given associate membership at the time of their admission. The students are advised to support the store by making all their purchases from this store itself. |

This department has produced many International Stars like Elsamma Mathew, Suja Sebastian, Beena Mathew, Anu Jacob, Sunu Jacob, Mercy Antony, Nishamol Siby and Nimmy Siby represented India in volleyball , Shiney Varghese and Ancy Philip in Athletics. Biju Thomas (1988) Sunitha K.K (1991) and Niclose Sebastian (1996) were the fastest university Athletes in India. During 1990-91 our college was selected as the best college in the university and awarded the "Malayalam Manorma Trophy".
